Starting at the Tourist Info at Marienplatz, this tour takes you on a fascinating journey through the history of Munich and its most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl. Along the way to the Hofbräuhaus, we make several stops at notable locations where you'll learn more about the city's history and the origins of the brewery.
Once inside, you'll hear captivating stories about the Hofbräuhaus, its local traditions, and the famous guests who have visited over the years – from Russian revolutionary Lenin to Austrian Empress Sisi. You'll also discover how far the servers walk each day in what might be the largest beer hall in the world!
The Hofbräuhaus isn't just about tourists – it’s deeply rooted in local culture. Did you know there are over 100 regulars' tables here, or why some guests have their own locked beer steins?
A highlight of the tour is the exclusive visit to the Hofbräuhaus ballroom, usually only open in the evenings. From the gallery, you can capture stunning photos as unique keepsakes of your visit.
At the end of the tour, you'll receive a coin in a currency that exists only at the Hofbräuhaus. You can redeem it any time or keep it as a special souvenir – rest assured, it’s immune to currency fluctuations!
With this in mind: Enjoy the tour and cheers to your visit!
